About

Bailey Onaga is an artist born, raised, and based in Wailuku, Maui.
B. Miyo is an alias for Maui born and raised illustrator Bailey Onaga. Her array of products including apparel, accessories, and stationery goods feature original artwork with a “Hawaii Kawaii” vibe and homage to “Slice of Life Kine Tingz…” or simple aspects of life often overlooked as ordinary and yet makes living in Hawaiʻi so unique.
Her aesthetic is a homage to her native Hawaiian heritage and 6 years of living in Fukuoka, Japan. B. Miyo is a mix of her first initial, as well as her middle name "Miyoko," shortened to what sounds like 微妙 or sublime in Japanese. She has experience painting murals with Precita Eyes Muralists in San Francisco, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and Japanese Studies. She has also collaborated on installations with her teacher, Philip Sabado. Her art has been exhibited in Hawai’i, Indonesia, and Japan.
