While I’m born and raised on Maui, I acknowledge that Hāna feels entirely like another community, and at times, another world. Visiting this beautiful and sacred place is always humbling…be sure to pull to the side in order to let the confident drivers through… Hāna has so many panoramic views, and with respect to not geotagging any specific location, this illustration was a bit of a challenge. In short, this is my view of Hāna…as a visitor from Wailuku! One of several bridges…one of several waterfalls…the road to Hāna is always about the journey rather than the destination.
