Taking a break from serious landscapes and returning to my Hawaii kawaii roots…next to the National Parks volcanos on the Big Island…inspired by vintage cartoons with shimmery ʻiʻiwi honeycreepers and different hues of the ʻōhiʻa lehua…which were one of the first flowers in Hawaiʻi as it could withstand life in the cracks of lava.

Print done on pearlized white specialty paper by Maui Printworks in Wailuku, Maui.
