Inspired by koa trees on my stepfather’s property that I spent an afternoon sketching.  I imagine these trees happy to be filled with ‘alala, Hawai’i’s native crow, and their loud cries. Only a handful of these birds have been released in the wild due to incredible conservation efforts.
